An area of light snow moved through between 6-9am. Temperatures were in the teens while this activity occurred. Most areas experienced a trace to a dusting. Meanwhile, yet another system moved through between noon and 3pm. Most areas received a 20-30 minute burst of snow that produced mostly light accumulations. Parts of McHenry and Lake Counties received amounts a little over an inch while the remainder of the area had mostly under an inch. By the time the second area of snowfall reached the area, temperatures rose to around 27-30 across the area. Some operators may have pushed the snow off of surfaces north while salting was done elsewhere.
