STORM SUMMARY 2-23-11

An area of rain, sleet and snow along with some thunder moved through the area between 7and 10pm. The activity diminished to some drizzle around 10pm which lingered into the early morning hours on 2-24. Temperatures during the main band of precipitation ranged between 33 and 35 degrees. The combination of snow and sleet produced some small accumulation which required salting in some areas. Officially ORD had .3 snow and RFD a trace.
