Occasional rain and drizzle fell throughout much of the day. Temperatures remained around 33-35 degrees throughout the day, After each area of rain moved through, the cold sub surface temps would cool down the surface temps resulting in freezing of water on sidewalks and paves surfaces. This was a constant thing that crews had to deal with throughout the day. Each time a surface would be treated for the icing, it would start the whole process over again. Melting and refreezing all day long specially north of I88. The day resulted in the need for multiple salt applications.
